Ellen sings, plays keyboards - Ellen's passion has always been music and she likes nothing better than getting the audience on their feet, dancing and enjoying themselves at a Brilltones gig. She became a classical, operatic, piano, vocal coach ATCL LTCL at Trinity College, London and masters a wide range of musical influences in the sets we play today. She loves bringing people together for a good time and wishes to carry on for as long as she can!
Pete sings, plays rhythm guitar - Pete's musical influences are Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Tamla Motown and progressive rock and blues groups such as John Mayall, Wishbone Ash and Caravan. His dream gig would be playing rhythm guitar in the Royal Albert Hall with Eric Clapton on lead. In the seventies he sang with Barnabas round the pubs of Oxfordshire before taking a bit of a break to get married and have three children. He recently picked his guitar up again for occasional appearances with Fifty Four Point Four, The Procurers and Bridego Bridge, before joining the Brilltones. Is that all!
Andy plays drums - Andy is the serious member of the band! He's been playing the drums and making a racket for longer than his neighbours care to remember! Seriously though, we're lucky to have him as part of The Brilltones, and his bubbly personality and great timing make him a welcome addition to the team.
Nick plays lead guitar - and loves anything Orange. Nick has been playing guitar since he was 15 years old. His influences are wide and varied and his favourite players are Adrian Vandenberg, George Lynch and Gary Moore.....in other words, he's a bit of a metal head! Nick plays through high quality amplifiers and pedals and is frequently complimented on his playing technique and range of sounds after live shows. Playing with The Brilltones is Nick's dream gig, and he loves the wide range of songs in the sets that we play.
Dave plays bass, sings backing vocals - After playing in bands in his youth Dave picked up his bass again once his kids grew up and he finally realised he's too old to run around playing sport. A fan of soul, funk and a bit of jazz, Dave is working on introducing as many Steely Dan and Stevie Wonder songs into The Brilltones set as possible!
